2020 was a challenging year and the cripling effects of Covid 19 on our students mental health will continue for years. We must act now.
Senator Glazer has re-introduced the Mental health Awareness License Plate bill as SB 21 with additional language to include funding a position at California Department of Education dedicated to support the Wellness Center and Mental Health support program. We look forward to the Senate Transportation Committee hearing on March 17th, 2021.
Please be sure to have your email.letters submitted by March 10th, 2021.
This year we are proud to announce that State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond is supporting this bill. This bill will bring tens of millions of dollars to student mental health in our state for years to come.

SB21 (Glazer) would require the Department of Education (CDE) to apply for a special interest license plate with the DMV. The monies raised by the sale of these plates goes to the CDE to fund Wellness Centers and school mental health support for our children.
